Yup! sure someone will buy it. Not surprisingly.. blaming at the complexity, premium smartphone manufacturer Vertu (Nokia spin-off) has ditched plans to launch a Windows Phone 8 device and introduced an Android-based phone Ti – for $9,600. Why not get it ..lol ?

But if $9,600 isn’t expensive enough for you, you could try the $11,500 “Pure Black” model or $12,800 “Black Alligator” model or $19,900 “Titanium Red Gold Mixed Metals” version.
The Vertu Ti is the first mobile handset from that company to avoid the Symbian OS and switch to Android.

The Vertu Ti has a 1.7 GHz processor, 64GB of memory, an 8MP camera, a sapphire screen (4 times stronger than ordinary smartphone screens) and a titanium shell.
Vertu is the biggest player in the luxury handset market. Its devices–retailing for up to $300,000–are finished with fine calf leather, alligator skin or diamonds and are sought-after status symbols among the wealthy elite in Russia, China and the Persian Gulf.
Company has around 1,000 employees and has 470 points of sale globally, including some 70 Vertu boutiques, in over 60 countries.
Perry Oosting is Vertu president and CEO, and he said during the unveiling that the Vertu Ti is the company’s “most significant product for a decade.” He went on to state that it is his belief the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) 4.0 operating system delivers an intuitive and proven experience and user interface for smartphone owners, while the “design and craftsmanship of the handset remains uniquely Vertu.” The company has been providing luxury mobile phones since the late 90s.
Oostig said that his company’s knowledge and experience in high-end smartphone manufacturing is put on effective display in the $10,000 Vertu Ti , and recently posted a video of the new device on the company’s Facebook page. The Vertu Ti boasts what a company spokesman called the “flawless optical quality of the sapphire crystal screen” and the superlight titanium casing. The handset delivers a 3.7 inch WVGA display and a rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder. A front facing 1.3 megapixel chat cam is also on board, and a full 64 GB of data storage is present.
