Stocks Leap In Higher Volume; IBD 50 Names Lead The Charge
Stocks were off to the races Wednesday, as the S&P 500 touched its highest level ever. Buying was focused in the tech sector as the Nasdaq surged 1.8%. The S&P 500 and Dow rose 1.2% and 0.9%, respectively. Preliminary data showed NYSE and Nasdaq volume in the stock market today increasing from Tuesday's levels.
