Stocks Give Up Gains, Now Trade At Session Lows
As the final hour of trading neared, the market had given up all the gains it had accumulated earlier in the session. The Nasdaq, which had been up as much as 0.5%, was down 0.6%. The Dow Jones industrial average also slipped 0.6% and the S&P 500 0.5%. All were trading near session lows. Volume was higher on the Nasdaq and lower on the NYSE.
