Buckeye Partners Q3 Earnings Fall, Increases Dividend
Buckeye Partners, L.P. (BPL) reported third quarter earnings of $77.3 million, or 72 cents per share, down from $85.1 million, or 87 cents per share, last year. Analysts, on average, expected to see earnings of 83 cents per share. Total revenue was $1.09 billion, below analysts’ estimate of $1.1 billion.
The company also reported that it has raised its dividend to $1.075 per share, or $4.30 annualized. The dividend will be payable on November 19 to shareholders record on November 12.
Church & Dwight Q3 Profits Rise, Reaffirms Guidance
Church & Dwight Co., Inc. (CHD) posted third quarter net income of $107.9 million, or 76 cents per share, up from $93.9 million, or 66 cents per share a year ago. On average, analysts expected to see earnings of 73 cents per share. Total revenue rose 11% to $804.8 million. The company said the this increase was primarily due to the acquisition of its Avid gummy vitamin business. Looking ahead, CHD reaffirmed its full year earnings estimate of $2.79 per share, slightly below analysts’ estimate of $2.80 per share.
CVR Partners Q3 Profits Fall, Declares Dividend
CVR Partners LP (UAN) posted third quarter earnings of $19.7 million, or 27 cents per share, down from $31.6 million, or 43 cents per share a year ago. Total sales were $69.2 million, down from $75.0 million a year ago.
The company also declared its next dividend payment of 36 cents per share. The dividend will be paid on November 18 to shareholders of record on November 11.
NextEra Energy Q3 Earnings Rise, Beats Estimates
NextEra Energy, Inc. (NEE) reported Q3 earnings of $698 million, or $1.64 per share, up from $415 million, or 98 cents per share, a year ago. Excluding special items, earnings were $607 million, or $1.43 per share, which came in above analysts’ estimate of $1.40 per share. Revenue came in at $4.3 billion, up from $3.8 billion a year ago. Analysts expected to see revenue of $4.42 billion. Looking forward, the company expects to see FY2013 earnings between $4.70 and $5.00 per share, while analysts expect to see $4.95 per share in earnings. FY2014 earnings are expected to be between $5.05 and $5.45 per share. Analysts expect NEE to report earnings of $5.29 per share.
