The Paperboard Packaging segment (96% of 2006 revenue) includes the production and sale of paperboard cartons for the company's beverage multiple packaging and consumer products packaging businesses. In addition, Graphic Packaging designs and manufactures specialized, proprietary packaging machines that package bottles and cans, beverage containers, and non-beverage consumer products. The company also sells the paperboard it produces to independent converters, who, in turn, sell converted beverage cartons to end-users for use on its proprietary packaging machines. It also offers a variety of laminated, coated, and printed packaging structures.
