Al Gore's slumlord heart

Eight years ago, the Democrats convinced many Americans that the economy was more important than morality, ethics or loyalty. Their slogan, "It's the Economy, Stupid!" was disgustingly effective.

Once Bill and Al took office, Americans quickly learned that liberals want us to do what they won't do. Bill Clinton, for example, vetoed school vouchers while sending his daughter to one of the most expensive private schools in America.

Who could forget when Al gave less than $1,000 to charity? That was his thank you to us taxpayers for spending hundreds of thousands of dollars remodeling the vice president's house to hold his children. That was his thanks for being paid $140,000 to do nothing.

Eight years have passed and now Al wants to be president. The spin meisters and liberal press corps will do their darndest to hide the "real" Al Gore from the public. So we are going to have to do our own spade work if we want to know what type of person Al Gore is.

Al Gore has a problem telling the truth. He exaggerates to make himself look important. His response to the Monica scandal was to tell the world that Bill Clinton is the greatest president in the history of America.

Big Al violated clear fund-raising standards when he made calls to donors from the White House. Even Janet Reno's Justice Department is considering investigating Al for his role in the Clinton-Gore campaign-finance scandal.

However, that's just the tip of the iceberg. Every day reveals more about the man who would lead us for the next four to eight years.

Remember when Hillary stiffed the single mother waitress? Seems like birds of a feather do fly together.

Earlier this month, we learned that Al Gore, a wealthy liberal trust fund baby, is also an absentee slumlord. It turns out that Big Al owns rental homes that aren't in very good shape.

Al is such a sensitive liberal. According to NewsChannel5.com, when Tracy Mayberry, Al's tenant, flushes her toilet, "water and, she says, sewage spills out around the base." When she complained about the conditions of her Carthage, Tenn., home, Al's property manager sent her an eviction letter. So much for caring about the poor.

When the story made it to the press, NewsChannel5.com says that Al Gore, her landlord, promised to fix the problem. Actually, he promised to fix a lot of things around the house.

Gore called Mayberry personally and vowed to fix the plumbing, the kitchen floor and the cracked walls.

"He said whatever needs to be done, tell him and he'll see to it that it was done," Mayberry said.

That was a week and a half ago.

Al Gore, the patron saint of liberals who want to steal our money to do their dirty deeds, has a heart of stone. Because when he was finally forced to fix Ms. Mayberry's home, he tried to stiff his tenant.

He sent a plumber who didn't fix the sewage problem. Water and sewage still run though Ms. Mayberry's home when she flushes her toilet. The floor repairman, according to NewsChannel5.com, put the new linoleum right on top of the old floor and didn't even bother to fill in the holes. Where the holes are, there are now gaps, and if you run your foot along the tile, you can see how it buckles.

Mayberry said that it's been a week now since the plumbing and the floor work was done, but the plaster on her walls is still peeling, and her ceiling is still cracked and in need of paint.

"Mayberry said she is also upset because Gore had promised to find her family a place to stay during repairs."

Guess what? Al Gore said he would help, but he didn't really mean it. "Mayberry said she's beginning to wonder now if Al Gore is really a man of his word."

Can I get an amen here?

My friends, we don't need another "truth challenged" politician as our commander in chief.

We don't need another man who can't tell the difference between right and wrong as the leader of the free world.

My friends, we don't need a slumlord as president of these United States.
