WND's new man at the White House Veteran correspondent, talk-host Les Kinsolving finds new home Posted: June 03, 2002 1:00 am Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily.com
Veteran newsman and talk-show host Les Kinsolving, a White House press corps institution known for his tough and sometimes off-the-wall questions, joins WorldNetDaily today as a correspondent and columnist. In addition to writing for WorldNetDaily, Kinsolving will ask tough questions of President Bush and his spokesmen with the guidance and input of participants in the interactive forum MR. PRESIDENT! Kinsolving hosts a daily talk show for WCBM in Baltimore. His radio commentaries are syndicated nationally. He hosts a national weekend show for Talk Radio Network and has been selected by Talkers Magazine as one of the top 100 radio hosts for the last four years. Kinsolving's daily show on WCBM airs from 8 to 10 p.m. Eastern and can be heard via the Internet on the station's website. Before going into broadcasting, Kinsolving was a newspaper reporter and columnist – twice nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for his commentary. In 1972, he and his reporting partner broke the first stories about the Peoples Temple cult – only to learn later he was No. 2 on the Rev. Jim Jones' hit list. His column was syndicated to 256 daily and weekly newspapers in 49 states and five foreign countries. But it has been as a White House correspondent for WCBM that Kinsolving has become famous – or, in some views, infamous. He has questioned every president since Richard Nixon. Here's what his colleagues have said about this living press legend:
Typically Kinsolving gets two opportunities for questioning Fleischer in the regular White House briefings. One of those questions will be inspired by WorldNetDaily readers through the MR. PRESIDENT! forum, designed to give the American public more direct access to the corridors of Washington power. "We're delighted to welcome Les Kinsolving to WorldNetDaily," said Joseph Farah, founder and chief executive officer. "Marlin Fitzwater characterized him as an 'almost legend.' I would go further and say that he is indeed a living legend – one who is as vibrant and animated about his craft today as he was 25 years ago. The press corps needs more Les Kinsolvings." Kinsolving's weekly column is scheduled to run on Tuesdays.
