ELECTION 2004 Pat Robertson: It's Bush in a 'blowout' 'God picks him up because he's a man of prayer and God's blessing him' Posted: January 02, 2004 6:25 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily.com
Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson predicts President George W. Bush will be re-elected in a "blowout" in November. Robertson told viewers of his "700 Club" program broadcast on the Christian Broadcasting Network he had been praying on the subject over the past several days and believes God told him Bush would win handily. "I think George Bush is going to win in a walk," he said. "The Lord has just blessed him. I mean, he could make terrible mistakes and come out of it. It doesn't make any difference what he does, good or bad, God picks him up because he's a man of prayer and God's blessing him." The Rev. Barry W. Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, told the Associated Press he had a prediction of his own: "Pat Robertson in 2004 will continue to use his multimillion broadcasting empire to promote George Bush and other Republican candidates." In an apparent slam of Robertson's faith, Lynn reportedly added, "Maybe Pat got a message from [Bush adviser] Karl Rove and thought it was from God." Related offer:
