WND AT THE WHITE HOUSE Bush stands by 'gays' in military policy Spokesman asked about issue in light of increase in AIDS cases Posted: December 02, 2004 5:10 pm Eastern By Les Kinsolving
Editor's note: Each week, WorldNetDaily White House correspondent Les Kinsolving asks the tough questions almost no one else will ask. And each week, WorldNetDaily brings you the transcripts of those dialogues with the president and his spokesman. If you'd like to suggest a question for the White House, submit it to WorldNetDaily's exclusive interactive forum MR. PRESIDENT!
At today's White House news briefing, WND asked presidential press secretary Scott McClellan about a swiftboat veteran who opposed John Kerry and the military's policy on homosexuals. WND: Steve Gardner, who was one of the two crew members of Lieutenant Kerry's swiftboat who refused repeated requests for him to campaign with Kerry at the Democratic National Convention and elsewhere has been fired from his job after warnings from Kerry allies John Hurley and Douglas Brinkley. My question, the first of two: What will the president do to help this combat veteran who is now broke? Les Kinsolving hosts a daily talk show for WCBM in Baltimore. His radio commentaries are syndicated nationally. He is White House correspondent for WorldNetDaily. His show can be heard on the Internet 9-11 p.m. Eastern each weekday. Before going into broadcasting, Kinsolving was a newspaper reporter and columnist – twice nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for his commentary.
