Joseph Farah, the founder and editor of WND, is calling it quits on his national radio show next year.

"Farah Live," the nationally syndicated program, will broadcast its last show Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, Golden Broadcasters and the host jointly announced yesterday to affiliates.

"All good things must come to an end," said Farah. "At the end of every year, we tend to think about what's most important in our lives, how we are spending our time and what our priorities are. This season it has become more and more obvious to me that I need to spend more time with WND and my family."

Farah said WND, the largest independent Internet news source in the world, has the potential to become one of the world's largest communications networks. But, he said, that requires his focused attention on the core business – and that does not include a daily, three-hour radio show at this time.

"I've been very gratified for the opportunity to do this show for the last three years," he said. "I am also grateful to Jeff Dorf at Golden Broadcasters for being so understanding about it. I hope our radio fans across the country will not think less of me for making this tough choice."

Farah first took over the radio show from Oliver North in 2003, who retired from radio to focus on writing books and hosting his Fox News "War Stories" television show.

"There may be another radio opportunity in the future that would allow me the time and energy I need for other endeavors," Farah said. "But I am certain that at this time, I need to simplify my life a little."
