The critically-acclaimed, award-winning documentary, "In the Face of Evil: Reagan's War in Word and Deed," will make its national television debut, in a special broadcast by the Trinity Broadcasting Network today, President's Day.

"In the Face of Evil" details the history of the Cold War and Ronald Reagan's 40-year campaign to bring an end to Soviet communism and reveals how one man's faith, determination and unwavering-conviction altered the course of world history.

It has been hailed by Rush Limbaugh, Joseph Farah and Lech Walesa.

Walesa, the Nobel laureate, called the film "a powerful portrayal of a critical point in history that exposes the intensity of the struggle against communism and President Reagan's campaign for victory. As someone who had lived these times, I was very moved by the detail and emotion … brought out on film. The lessons of our struggle against the evil empire are more relevant than ever in regards to the conflict of today's world."

The movie is based on Peter Schweizer's acclaimed best seller, "Reagan's War: The Epic Story of His Forty Year Struggle and Final Triumph Over Communism."

Originally released in theaters in the fall of 2004 for a limited theatrical run, "In the Face of Evil" broke box-office attendance records for a documentary in a number of cities where it was screened. At that time, the film received critical praise from all sectors of the media and was the recipient of several awards from the film industry and prominent film festivals.

Tim Watkins, president of Leo McWatkins Films and producer/co-director of "In the Face of Evil," says, "We wanted to tell the true story of this amazing man's conquest and triumph over evil during the 20th century, the bloodiest and most barbaric century in mankind's history."

Reagan's faith in God impacted his fight against evil – a faith that is explored and explained in Mary Beth Brown's "Hand of Providence." Subtitled "The Strong and Quiet Faith of Ronald Reagan," Brown's book uses the president's own words, writings and first-hand interviews to paint an inspiring picture of his walk with God.

TBN is the world's largest religious network and America's most watched faith channel, according to Neilsen ratings. TBN offers 24 hours of commercial-free inspirational programming. The documentary will air tonight at 10 p.m. Eastern, 7 p.m. Pacific.
