For the seventeenth time, government officials from 12 countries are set to meet to discuss an international free trade agreement known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The TPP negotiations have been kept under wraps and still much of the issues discussed are unknown to the public. If the agreement is passed it will become one of the biggest global treaties in history. Many critics of the TPP feel that is business agreement could affect the sovereignty of each nation involved. Lori Wallach, director of Public Citizen’s Global Trade Watch, is one of those critics and she explains why the TPP is a bad idea.
