Four State Department officials who were placed on paid administrative leave after last September’s terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, have been returned to active duty and will face no further disciplinary action, a senior State Department official said Tuesday.

The four, including three diplomatic security officers and the former deputy assistant secretary for Near East affairs, will be reassigned to different jobs with less responsibility, according to the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss personnel matters.
