The Egyptian government government says foreign efforts to mediate an end to the bloody standoff with the Muslim Brotherhood have failed. That effort included U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. They were sent by President Obama to push Egypt back towards a civilian government, following the ouster of President Mohammed Morsi but their message fell on deaf ears.
