Aha, Hillary Clinton has made the word "conspiracy" politically correct. So allow me to be the first to say it aloud, William Jefferson Clinton is the result of a giant "left-wing" conspiracy. But first, let us define the term conspiracy. It comes from the Latin words for breath and with. Conspirators don't have to talk, they just have to breath together, and that is what the left has done where the Clintons are concerned, they have breathed together, conspired if you will, to give us the worst President in history. AND THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING: Feminists, Democratic Leaders, and most importantly, the press. But the press was the first to break ranks. When Bill Clinton compromised a young intern, he went too far. They couldn't, as Howard Fineman put it on the Rush Limbaugh show, "respect ourselves in the morning" if they let him get away with any more.
So one day, quite out of the blue or so it seemed to most Americans, the media turned on Bill Clinton. It wasn't a pretty sight. Where were they in the snows of New Hampshire in 1992? Where were they when Jerry Brown brought up the accusations about Gennifer Flowers? Where were they when the Rose Law Firm's billing records turned up mysteriously in the White House or when Vince Foster's office was roped off and searched by White House officials even before the F.B.I.? Where were they when Paula Jones screamed foul? It may be too much to ask, but where were they when the White House and the Congress conspired to ruin my modest but respectable reputation and smear me as a racist and an anti-Semite? Where were they for five bloody years? They were foisting on us the most corrupt administration the country has ever known and they KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING.

How do we know they knew what they were doing? First of all, many of them are now admitting that they have known it. In January, 1992, Southern Politics Professor and frequently quoted Professor Merle Black told my husband, Professor Robert C. Jeffrey, Jr. that Bill Clinton would never be the Democratic nominee because of his women and money troubles in Arkansas. According to Black, everyone important, including the media, knew about these problems. At the American Political Science Association Meeting in late August or early September 1992, Professor Robert Eden of Hillsdale College made the same charge against the nominee but did not predict that he wouldn't be the nominee. Instead he predicted that if elected, Bill Clinton would take his corrupt Arkansas regime to Washington and create the most corrupt administration in history. No one contradicted Eden.
Elites knew. Professors knew. Democratic leaders knew. The media knew. The American people were the victims of a great left-wing conspiracy. And now they are supposed to blindly believe the same meida which lead them down this golden path? If the people are confused, it is no wonder. And America's co-conspiring elites are going to have to grovel and apologize to the American people or go down with their once-beloved president. The leaders who gave us "It's the economy stupid," have a lot of explaining to do.
Christina Jeffrey was the historian of the House of Representatives fired by Speaker Newt Gingrich.
