In the last election, Ross Perot made the observation that politicians
sometimes think that if they talked about it on TV, they have actually done
it. Unfortunately, there are many people today who think if they have read
about Y2K on the Internet, they are prepared. Wrong!

At the risk of sounding preachy, let me encourage you to stop spending so
much time on the Internet reading about Y2K. From today, you have a little
over a month left. Every hour spent surfing the Internet is one less hour
you have to spend actually preparing. D-day will be here before you know it.
Knowing how to prepare for Y2K won't do you a lick of good if you
haven't actually spent time doing the preparations.
If you really must spend some time surfing, then set a time limit and
stick to it.
