Sifting Saddam’s nuclear sands

By WND Staff

Known for his coverage of the Middle East and the Balkans,
awarding-winning journalist Daniel McGrory is the co-author of the
recently published “Brighter Than the Baghdad Sun: Saddam Hussein’s
Nuclear Threat to the United States,” a book that explores the bizarre
and terrifying world of Saddam Hussein and his insatiable drive for
nuclear weapons.

Formerly the chief foreign correspondent for London’s Daily Express,
McGrory currently writes for the Times of London.

In Sunday’s in-depth interview with WorldNetDaily reporter Geoff
Metcalf, McGrory describes Iraq’s quest for nuclear arms, as well as the
Clinton administration’s policy toward Iraq, including the president’s
Dec. 15, 1998, bombing attack in an attempt to assassinate Saddam
Hussein and divert attention from pressing domestic concerns.
