Long-time WorldNetDaily columnist-staff writer Geoff Metcalf launches
his Internet-based talk radio program live Monday, July 3,
announces Chief Executive Officer and Editor Joseph Farah.
The Geoff Metcalf program will be the Internet’s first daily,
general-interest, national talk show, says Farah.
Metcalf, who has hosted a daily talk show on KSFO in San Francisco
for the last five years, becomes the nation’s first major-market host to
launch a daily program whose primary carrier and syndicator is an
Internet company, WorldNetDaily.com, Inc.
The new program debuts Monday, July 3, on WorldNetDaily’s new
streaming page —
TalkNetDaily — as well as on broadcast partner KTKZ 1380 AM in Sacramento. KTKZ will broadcast two hours of the program live every day to listeners in Northern California, while WorldNetDaily will carry three hours live daily from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Pacific time (7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern).
The third partner in WorldNetDaily’s new streaming venture is WebRadio, whose innovative technology requires no downloads for Internet users already equipped with sound and video cards.
“We’re excited about the addition of Metcalf’s show exclusively on WorldNetDaily,” said founder and CEO Joseph Farah. “With WorldNetDaily’s audience of around 250,000 people, we believe we have the foundation for a successful streaming enterprise of this kind and, eventually, the launching pad for a 24-hour-a-day talk-news network on the Internet.”
Farah says the show is the result of an innovative partnership with KTKZ in Sacramento, which produces and airs the program locally, while WorldNetDaily.com, Inc., is responsible for live streaming and syndicating the show in other markets.
WorldNetDaily and Metcalf expect to announce some new broadcast affiliates for the show in the coming weeks.
What makes WorldNetDaily think Metcalf can make it on the Internet?
“Geoff competed against Rush Limbaugh and Ronn Owens in San Francisco for three years and brought KSFO in that ‘suicide zone’ from number 38 in the market to top ten,” explained Farah. “Geoff also competed against Dr. Laura and Dr. Dean Edell and likewise brought the time period to top ten in San Francisco.”
Metcalf has done it all in radio — from news editor, news director, program manager, sales manager, consultant to owner/general manager.
“He understands his job is to build and maintain audience better than most,” said Farah.
