When Joseph C. Farah wrote a column for the Indianapolis Star yesterday blasting President Bush for rejecting the Kyoto Treaty, for promoting strategic defense and for ignorance of foreign affairs, Internet bulletin boards were abuzz with questions about whether WorldNetDaily’s editor had flipped his lid.
E-mails flooded into WorldNetDaily all day. Some perplexed readers threatened to leave WorldNetDaily forever. People from Indianapolis faxed the article demanding an explanation.
“The explanation is simple,” said WorldNetDaily’s Joseph Farah. “I’m Joseph F. Farah. He’s Joseph C. Farah, a free-lance writer from Indianapolis who describes himself as a founding member of the new progressive group Common Bonds.”
The two Farahs have met. In fact, when WorldNetDaily’s Farah spoke in Indianapolis several months ago, he was interviewed by Joseph C. Farah. But, as far as they know, they are not related – just two Lebanese-American journalists who share the same name.
