It's no longer a matter of if America launches a war to the finish with Iraq, it's only a matter of when.
I tell you this as someone who vehemently opposed the senseless, stupid, pointless and inhumane bombing campaign conducted by the Clinton administration for so many years.

That campaign served no useful or moral purpose. Yet it did serve to kill many innocent people and increase suffering. It actually strengthened Saddam Hussein's grip on power.
But now America has been attacked. And, all the evidence points to Iraqi sponsorship of Osama bin Laden and his terrorist al-Qaida network. Back in 1999, terror expert Yossef Bodansky documented the connection between Hussein and bin Laden in his book "Bin Laden: The Man Who Declared War on America."

What are we going to do about that?
Sooner or later, the U.S. must put an end to the life of Saddam Hussein. There is just no other way. Allowing him to survive again will only ensure that he continues to threaten the security and the lives of American people in the future. He did it before; he will do it again. We should have finished him off when we had the chance in 1991. Colin Powell should not make the same mistake twice.

And, I don't believe he will.
It's the right thing to do. Plans should be made. It's time to finish off Saddam Hussein. No more U.N. embargoes. No more targeted bombing campaigns. No more no-fly zones. No more weapons inspection negotiations. It's time to win the war with Iraq – to put an end to the insanity of protracted, never-ending, low-level conflict.
Saddam Hussein is responsible for his country – no one else. The Iraqi people are not the enemy. They have no say in their government. They are victims – like the rest of the world – of this madman. He rules by sheer terror and brute force. It's time to put an end to it.
Many are surprised to learn that Hussein, only a cultural Muslim himself, is behind the Islamists, including bin Laden. Bin Laden and Hussein don't like each other. Bin Laden once offered to attack Iraq on behalf of the Saudis, if they would keep American troops out of the Persian Gulf. But the bin Laden-Hussein relationship is a marriage of convenience. They both hate the U.S. and have forged a tentative alliance against a common enemy.
If we are indeed serious as a nation about taking out all those responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks, we must go after Hussein.

The goal must not be to "punish" him or his people. The objective should be to destroy him once and for all – remove him from power, kill him.
Bin Laden first. Hussein second.
This will not be an easy campaign. Afghanistan will look like a cakewalk by comparison. Iraq has weapons of mass destruction and Hussein will use them before he goes down. He will attempt to deliver them on Israel and on the United States.
But this is no time for squeamishness. Iraq must go. The time is approaching. The moment of truth for Saddam Hussein is coming. America must be resolute.

We must prepare for a much bigger biological attack than we have seen thus far. The anthrax delivered by mail to media outlets and federal government officials in the U.S. was made in Iraq. No one has told you that, but it's the truth. It was manufactured by a state and that state is Iraq. Hussein has much more anthrax at his disposal and it is headed our way. The first wave was merely a warning – a way for Hussein to dissuade Americans from coming after him.
Iraq also has chemical weapons known as VX. It is lethal to the touch. If it is delivered by rocket, entire cities will have to be evacuated. Israel is at great risk. But the risk is there every day – as long as Saddam Hussein or some other madman is in power in Baghdad. Israel, too, needs to prepare for the inevitable.
There's a debate going on in Washington today about the course of action I am advising. Americans need to buck up. They need to tell their leaders what to do. We need to be tough, be strong and let our elected servants know what to do.
It's time to stop living in fear. It's time to stop pussyfooting around. It's time to turn out the lights in Baghdad.
