WND roving international correspondent Anthony C. LoBaido’s many travels in search of interesting, original stories have resulted in a book, just authored by LoBaido, on “The Kurds of Asia.”
Published by Lerner Books in the U.S., in association with the Singapore-based Times Publishing Group, LoBaido’s book will be available in Summer 2002, said Paul Rozario, TPG’s editor for general and reference publishing.
The “Kurds” book is part of the “First Peoples” series of children’s books, which Rozario describes this way:
“A brand new illustrated reference series for students aged 10 to 12, ‘First Peoples’ takes an exciting close-up look at unique indigenous peoples and how they cope with the influences of modern society. From origin myths to death rites, the reader is transported to unfamiliar lands to witness startling ways of life. With vibrant photographs and lively text, this fascinating series captures the multi-cultural experience of a changing globe — an experience that will immeasurably enrich our own cultural lives.”
Besides writing the text, LoBaido, an accomplished photographer, also contributed photos to the book, which he shot while on location reporting on the Kurds for WorldNetDaily.
“Anthony works well to deadlines and takes pride in his work,” said Rozario. “His facts are accurate and he is genuinely interested in the subject matter. He explains a politically sensitive issue to a young audience without necessarily taking sides.”
“We are fortunate to be working with someone who has an insider’s perspective on the Kurdish question,” added Rozario.
