Alan Keyes, a former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, two-time candidate for the GOP presidential nomination and an exclusive WorldNetDaily columnist, will soon begin hosting his own television program on MSNBC.

According to the network, the program, called "Alan Keyes is Making Sense," will air Monday through Friday at 10 p.m. Eastern and will feature "in-depth analysis and commentary on the issues of the day from politics [and] economics to the various cultural hot buttons."

"We're excited that Alan is bringing his highly regarded grasp of global issues and his larger-than-life personality to MSNBC," Erik Sorenson, network president and general manager, said in a statement today. "This network has distinguished itself as the cable news channel for smart young viewers interested in knowing about their world. Alan's deep knowledge, incredible capacity to frame debate and provocative views will be a great addition to an already terrific primetime lineup."

The program will air live from Washington, D.C.
"We're delighted at the opportunity with MSNBC to bring Ambassador Keyes before a wide national audience on a regular basis," Mary Parker Lewis, Keyes' chief of staff, told WorldNetDaily.

"His intellect, integrity and energy create terrifically compelling and insightful commentary on the contemporary scene," she said. "Audiences across broad demographics will find this new television show 'makes sense' with a positive perspective on American life and global affairs."
Keyes received his PhD in government affairs in 1979 from Harvard University. He served during the Reagan Administration in the U.S. Foreign Service and on the staff of the National Security Council before being appointed Ambassador to the United Nations Economic and Social Council in 1983. He was the Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs from 1985-87.

Besides making two bids to become the GOP presidential nominee, Keyes is also a two-time Republican Senate nominee from Maryland.
Over the past decade, Keyes has received acclaim and wide exposure via his daily syndicated radio program, "The Alan Keyes Show: America's Wake-up Call." He has written two books, "Masters of the Dream: The Strength and Betrayal of Black America," and "Our Character, Our Future: Reclaiming America's Moral Destiny." He has a third book set to be released soon.
Keyes and his wife of 19 years, Jocelyn, reside in Maryland with their three children: Francis, Maya and Andrew.
