WorldNetDaily.com is pleased to announce the return of top-rated radio host and author Larry Elder – “The Sage From South Central” – to its commentary page.
Larry Elder |
Elder, whose exclusive column will run weekly, was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. He attended Brown University, receiving a bachelor of arts degree in political science in 1974. He then attended University of Michigan School of Law, graduating with his JD in 1977.
Immediately following graduation, Elder worked with a large law firm in Cleveland, Ohio, where he practiced litigation. He then opened “Laurence A. Elder and Associates,” a business specializing in recruiting experienced attorneys. At the same time, he hosted a topic-oriented television show in Cleveland, first on PBS and then on the local Fox affiliate. He has written numerous articles, published in the Miami Herald, Tampa Tribune, Chicago Tribune, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Akron Beacon Journal and many others. He currently publishes a monthly newsletter, “The Elder Statement,” and writes a nationally syndicated newspaper column through Creators Syndicate.
Elder has been the subject of a profile by “60 Minutes,” guest-hosted on “Crossfire,” and sat in for the vacationing Geraldo on CNBC’s “Rivera Live.” He was the reporter on the groundbreaking PBS “National Desk” segment, “Redefining Racism: Fresh Voices From Black America.” He has also appeared on “Oprah,” “MacNeil-Lehrer,” “Rolanda,” “Larry King Live,” “Hard Copy,” “CNN News,” “C-SPAN,” “CNN Talk Back Live,” “Today Show” and “Politically Incorrect.”
A registered independent, Elder describes himself as a “fiscal conservative” and a “social liberal.” He has been with KABC Talk Radio in Los Angeles since March 1994 and currently hosts “The Larry Elder Show,” a daily program from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on KABC 790. Elder’s bold presentation brings thoughtful insight on the day’s most provocative issues, to the delight, consternation and entertainment of a half million Southern California listeners. Elder’s radio program is nationally syndicated.
In his first book, “The Ten Things You Can’t Say in America,” Elder attacks the politically correct, black leaders, feminists, gun-control advocates and others. The book has sold over 250,000 copies, making the New York Times Best Seller List, the Wall Street Journal’s Bestseller List and the Los Angeles Times Bestseller List.
Currently, Elder is writing another book – due out this spring – and is establishing the Larry Elder Foundation, a nonprofit organization that will contribute to groups and individuals offering non-government, self-help solutions to problems of poverty, crime, poor parenting, dependency and education.
