NEW YORK – Appearances on NBC’s “Today” show and Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” helped propel Katherine Harris’ “Center of the Storm,” the first book published by WND Books, up the Amazon sales charts – from 8,422 before the shows, to 563 hours later.

Harris, the former Florida secretary of state who played such a high-profile role in the 2000 presidential election, wrote “Center of the Storm” to answer her critics and tell her friends about the principles she used to weather the stormiest moment of her life. Harris is also running for the U.S. Congress in south Florida.

“Center of the Storm” is now available in bookstores throughout the country, but it is on sale at prices below Amazon’s at WND’s online store. Autographed copies are also available exclusively at the WND online store.

Harris will be the guest of Sean Hannity on his nationally syndicated radio program this afternoon. She also will appear on “Hannity & Colmes” on Fox News Channel tonight. Her appearance with Paula Zahn on CNN this morning was canceled because of the breaking news about the latest shooting in Maryland.

Tomorrow Harris is scheduled to appear on CBS’ “The Early Show” at 7:40 a.m. Eastern, CNN’s “Inside Politics” at 2 p.m. Eastern and MSNBC’s “Hardball With Chris Matthews” at 5 p.m. Eastern. She also will appear on Fox’s “Special Report with Brit Hume” at 6:15 p.m.

Harris’ book also is getting further exposure via the Internet. MSNBC has posted an excerpt from “Center of the Storm” on its website.
