A state office building in downtown Tampa was evacuated this morning after a security guard stumbled over a cache of weapons, including a live grenade.

Police say the guard found a rifle, ammunition and an apparent live grenade in a second-floor storage area at approximately 8 a.m Eastern Standard Time.

He pulled the fire alarm to evacuate the building as a precaution.

The building houses several state agencies, including the Department of Children and Families.

Fox News reports authorities say the discovery is not related to terrorism.
