Chastain talks abortion, depression

By WND Staff

Discussing her commentary on the established link between abortion and depression, WorldNetDaily columnist Jane Chastain will be a guest on the nationally syndicated radio program “American Breakfast” tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. Eastern time.

Chastain tells the story of when she helped a friend get an abortion after buying into the “glob of tissue” argument. Her friend suffered deep psychological trauma as a result.

Citing research reported by WorldNetDaily, Chastain writes: ” The latest issue of Medical Science Monitor published the results of a landmark study done by the Elliot Institute which shows that women with a history of abortion are at a significantly higher risk of experiencing clinical depression, than women who give birth.

“Researchers used data on 1,884 women compiled by the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth who experienced their first pregnancy between 1980 and 1992 and found that, on an average of eight years later, women whose first pregnancies ended in abortion were 65 percent more likely to be at high risk of clinical depression.”

Broadcasting live from the Shawmut Diner in New Bedford, Mass., host Phil Paleologos invites “American Breakfast” listeners every weekday morning to pull up a stool and participate in lively discussions about American ideals.

Every Friday, “American Breakfast” features a WorldNetDaily reporter, editor or columnist in the 8 a.m. Eastern hour.
