Hillary knocked out of No. 2 spot

“Beyond Iraq,” a paperback title tying the recent war to Bible prophecy and published by a small publishing company called White Stone Books, yesterday supplanted Hillary Clinton’s “Living History” in the No. 2 spot on Amazon.com.

While Clinton received an $8 million advance for her memoirs and won the cover of Time magazine, Michael D. Evans, author of “Beyond Iraq,” is mostly known for his work in the Christian book market.

“I’ve been working very hard to sell the book,” Evans told WorldNetDaily. “USA Today really took us through the roof.”

Evans and his publisher ran a full-page, full-color ad in the national daily Tuesday. In addition, he says he has guerrilla marketed the book heavily through his own e-mail list.

“Living History” regained the No. 2 spot today, moving Evans’s book to No. 3.

“Beyond Iraq” argues that the recent conflict in the Persian Gulf had a much deeper significance than most people realize and points to Bible prophecy.

“What’s transpiring in the Middle East now is not peace,” says Evans. “It’s appeasement.”

A minister and journalist whose articles have been published in more than 150 countries around the world, Evans has produced 11 specials on the Middle East. He has appeared on hundreds of radio and television shows throughout America, including “Good Morning America,” “Nightline” and “Crossfire.”

He is also founder of the Jerusalem Prayer Team, an organization that boasts the involvement of Tim LaHaye, Mrs. Anne Graham Lotz and Pat Robertson. Evans founded the Evangelical Israel Broadcasting Network, now on 587 stations in the U.S. daily with news live from Jerusalem.
