It is incredible with the devastation around us that we are only now getting our diagnostic forums heated up. When do we move into prescriptive dialog? When does this movement get legs? When does someone who is a public figure finally call for action that is within the reach of those who listen and inspire them to move?
– Art
I am not a public figure, but I have called for action before, and I will do so again. Evil always slavers for submission, so those who oppose the ongoing dismantling of our nation must refuse to submit. This has always been the positive model of those who have made a real difference in the world, from Martin Luther to Martin Luther King, from Jesus Christ to Thomas Jefferson. Refuse to submit to laws that contradict God's Law, refuse to submit to government agents exercising illicit power, and refuse to participate in the popular charade of democracy.

Does this require sacrifice? Absolutely, which is why this path is described as the hard one. There is a much easier path for those who prefer to be fat, lazy and complicit, of course, it is also known as the road to Hell.
Regarding the role of the jury. Your statement of their role is simply not correct. The jury's role has always been to make findings of fact, not conclusions of law.

I know where it says Americans must pay an income tax. It is called the 16th Amendment.
– Vince, Ry, Dick and others
I have to say, I find this sort of shallow e-mail to be more offensive than the most hate-filled feminist diatribe. Do any of you truly believe I am unaware of the text of the 16th Amendment, the fact that it was never ratified, or the cases in which the Supreme Court has declared that a) it was ratified, and b) even if it wasn't ratified, it is nevertheless in effect? But the fact that Congress can write a law requiring Americans to pay a direct, unapportioned federal income tax does not mean that Congress has done so. There is a very good reason the tax code is so Byzantine; it is to disguise the fact that at heart, there is no there there.
Note that in numerous cases, including Brafman and Radinsky, the Supreme Court has also declared that without a signed assessment certificate, there is no tax liability.
My brother stood up and spoke out against corruption and racism within the United States Marshal Service, for doing so he got the treatment told of by the old Japanese dictum, the nail that sticks up gets hammered down. His fight for justice has ended up with his partner paralyzed for life and with my brother fearing for his life and for his family. He has gone without pay since October 2002, the USMS is denying him pay and benefits as they seek to destroy him, yet no one cares.
So tell me Mr. Vox, why should any American stand up bravely and speak out as my brother did? What has it gained him?

One might as easily ask what it gained the apostles to preach the Gospel, considering the lethal reward almost all of them received from the world. Your brother will never know how his brave stance has affected those who witnessed it and heard about it, or what effect it will have on their future actions. Furthermore, as was said in the movie, "Rob Roy," honor is a man's gift to himself.
Things might be different if I was free to speak or act without bringing down unpleasant consequences on others. But I have to consider that my actions can and will have repercussions which will touch my family and people that I love. For that reason, for now, I guess I'll remain a coward.
– Lee
There will always be a good reason to keep one's mouth shut, to avert one's eyes, to look the other way. But did the Germans of the Nazi era save their families by not speaking out? Neither will we. I cannot speak for anyone else, but my grandfather braved the swamps of Guadalcanal and the fire-swept beaches of Tarawa while fighting for what he believed was right, and I will not forget the lessons he taught or dishonor his memory by submitting to evil, injustice or my own fears.
