Democrats shun American values

I'm not sure exactly when it occurred, but at some point in the past 30 or so years, the modern Democrat Party turned from a party championing the "little guy" into a party that breeds divisiveness, promotes socialism, and champions every ideal based on its aversion to "traditional" American values.

Consider some of the most liberal Democratic bastions, and you can quickly deduce that the party of the common man long ago adopted policies that enrich the party, not you or me.

Democrats portray all who disagree with them as enemies of the state. If you don't share their liberal-socialist point of view, you are a Neanderthal who needs attitude-adjustment training and a healthy dose of "re-education." All the while, Democrats are preaching "freedom of speech" and the exchange of ideas as important for "democracy," even though America was founded as a representative republic, not a "one-voice, one-vote" mobocracy.

Democrats also like to label opponents of big government, high-tax policies as selfish individualists. They feel like the more you have, the less you deserve because whatever it is you have, you somehow, in some way, deceived or cheated some lesser being for it. Hence, everything you have is ill-gotten gain and deserves to be taken away by the federal government and redistributed (by Democrats, of course).

Democrats say anyone who opposes open borders and unlimited immigration is isolationist racist and a self-centered anal curmudgeon . Democrats believe that votes, rather than sovereignty, are the most important political priority.

They blame whites for nearly everything. Democrats – even white Democrats – never met an honest white American. To them, all whites are suspect, and all seek to denigrate and "keep down" minorities.

Democrats claim rich people trample the poor and middle class. They believe if you're rich, you only became that way by ripping off people of lesser financial status. They don't believe that average Americans can become above-average Americans through hard work, innovation and giving people something they want and don't already have.

Democrats shun achievers in favor of mediocre educational standards. They would rather the whole country raise stupid kids than go with an educational system that works and is less expensive.

They oppose overseas military operations as needless power expansions unless a Democratic president is in the White House and orders it.

They will defend the immorality of Bill Clinton but chastise the morality and vision of Ronald Reagan as some sort of Nazi-like extremism.

The biggest heroes to Democrats are depraved criminal punks.

Democrats support expensive and burdensome organized labor but chastise and denigrate the corporations who hire them as greedy sloths seeking to destroy the nation.

To Democrats, everyone deserves equal rights – as long as you're a woman, a minority, homosexual ... and not white.

Is it any wonder why Democrats don't control the House, Senate or the White House?

Republicans aren't the perfect solution to every problem that faces America. Abe Lincoln, bless his misguided heart, is a perfect example of how even early Republicans can misconstrue the best of intentions and violate the most sacrosanct of governing documents.

But there is a worse alternative to Republicans: Democrats.

As American voters, we should hold all of our representatives accountable, regardless of their political affiliation. However, if they are Democrats, I would almost guarantee they don't agree with most Americans.

So why are they still in office?

I don't know. But I'll tell you this much: Today's Democrat Party isn't a party that represents traditional American values.
