The terrorist group Hamas is proposing to the Palestinian public that the families of suicide bombers and others injured in the uprising against Israel be housed in settlements evacuated under Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's unilateral disengagement plan.
The plan calls for relocation of all settlements in the Gaza Strip, but many Palestinians have expressed doubt it will be implemented, reports the Israeli daily Haaretz.

Senior Hamas official Mahmoud Zahar said, nevertheless, the Palestinians must forge a clear plan "as though it were known that these lands would eventually be evacuated," according to Israel radio.
Zahar also promised more on attacks on Israelis "in order to speed the withdrawal," Haaretz said.
The Hamas plan also would use the settlements to house the families of Palestinians jailed by Israel.
