"Conservatives Are From Mars, Liberals Are From San Francisco," a new self-published paperback by new WND weekly columnist Burt Prelutsky, is already a smash best seller.
The book hit No. 8 on the Los Angeles Times Paperback Best-Seller List.
Prelutsky, with an extensive and varied writing background as Los Angeles magazine's first movie critic, a weekly humor column for the L.A. Times, joined WorldNetDaily as a weekly columnist last week.
As a free-lance writer, Prelutsky has written for publications such as TV Guide, Modern Maturity, the New York Times and Sports Illustrated – to name just a few. As a book author, a collection of humorous essays, "Civilization and Welcome to It," was published by Capra Press in 1989.
Prelutsky also has written scripts for TV shows such as "Dragnet," "MASH," "Mary Tyler Moore," "Rhoda," "McMillan and Wife," "Bob Newhart," "Family Ties," "Dr. Quinn" and "Diagnosis Murder."
Additionally, he has written for several award-winning movies that starred actors such as Jean Stapleton, Ed Asner, Keith Carradine, Dennis Weaver, Sharon Gless, Barnard Hughes, Jean Simmons and Mare Winningham.
