Tickets are moving fast for a concert tribute to U.S. troops that will raise money for the families of military personnel who have been killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty.

The “Hannity Freedom Concert,” hosted by Fox News and radio personality Sean Hannity and the Freedom Alliance, is scheduled for July 8. It also will be sponsored by WABC radio in New York and Six Flags Great Adventure.

According to Freedom Alliance, Hannity will broadcast his daily radio program that day from the park in Jackson, N.J., and then host the concert, featuring country singers Martina McBride and Darryl Worley, known for his song about the 9-11 attacks, “Have you Forgotten?”

Lt. Col. Oliver North, the founder of Freedom Alliance, also will appear at the event.

“Sean Hannity is a great friend and we appreciate the help that he and his millions of listeners are providing for the men and women of our armed forces,” said North in a statement. “The money raised through this effort will have a profound and lasting impact on the sons and daughters of America’s military heroes.”

Over the years, Freedom Alliance has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships to students who have lost a parent in such conflicts as the Persian Gulf War, the 1983 terrorist bombing of the Marine Corps barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, and terrorist attacks on the USS Cole and the Pentagon.

Tickets for the concert, which include admission to the amusement park, go for $35.99 and are available through Freedom Alliance’s website.
