An event called Tax Freedom Rally 2004 is set to bring together activists battling to end the federal income tax.

The rally, sponsored by the Free Enterprise Society, is scheduled for Aug. 28-29 in Sunnyvale, Calif.

Asks a flyer for the event: “Do you believe in the United States Constitution? Do you believe the income tax needs to be abolished? Do you know you have to look to yourself, not government, to be free? Then this is the event you have been waiting for!”

Organizers say they expect over 400 people at the conference, which runs all day Saturday, Aug. 28 and until 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Featured speakers include Ted Gunderson, a former FBI chief who will talk about terrorism, and Rich Diamond, who the flyer states “has developed a unique way to deal with real estate without using a Social Security number and no report.”

Other speakers include constitutional attorney Larry Becraft and former IRS agent activist Joe Banister.
