‘American Prophecies’ 2nd only to Kerry

While “Unfit for Command,” the scathing critique of John Kerry’s service in Vietnam is the top-selling book in America, another book promoted by WorldNetDaily is right on its heels.

“The American Prophecies: Ancient Scriptures Reveal Our Future” by Mike Evans is now listed in the No. 2 spot on Amazon.com, just behind “Unfit,” which will appear on the New York Times best-seller list at No. 1 on Sept. 5.

“This is amazing,” said WND founder and CEO Joseph Farah. “The only two books we are promoting are No. 1 and 2 on Amazon.”

Evans bested former President Clinton’s memoir last month, as “The American Prophecies” knocked Bill’s “My Life” out of the No. 2 spot on Barnes & Nobles’ best-sellers list – just as it did at Amazon.

After replacing Clinton’s book at No. 2 on Amazon, Evans’ latest eventually rose to No. 1.

As WorldNetDaily reported, Evans’ previous book, “Beyond Iraq, came out of nowhere last year to knock Hillary Clinton’s “Living History” out of Amazon’s No. 2 slot.

Bible-believing Christians are rallying around Evans’ book, which supports President Bush and charges Clinton with the lack of moral clarity that led to the terror crisis worldwide.

In his new book, Evans explores current events in the light of ancient scriptures and America’s place in biblical prophecy.

The hatred of the Arab world for the West, and toward America in particular, Evans writes, can be traced entirely to this nation’s identification with Israel. America flirts with danger, Evans says, when it accommodates the Arab world merely for the sake of oil. As God said to Abraham, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.”
