Different names, same goal: Misinformation

By Mychal Massie

The difference between the American mainstream press and Al-Jazeera is that in less than 100 hours after the latest beheading of an American by rabid swine, the U.S. press had removed it from their collective consciences – while Al-Jazeera is today still showing reruns of it.

Al-Jazeera, in graphic detail, continues to remind their blood lusts of the honor in serving Allah and Muhammad through beheadings. The American press, after the obligatory 96-hour feeding frenzy, comes to its craven senses, remembering it is important not to offend murderous infidels by showing them for what they are.

Has anyone seen pictures or replays of four Arab-piloted passenger jets being flown into the buildings in New York, the Pentagon and crashing in Pennsylvania lately? Has anyone seen pictures or replays lately of people diving from skyscrapers to certain death from towering infernos of certain death?

The answer to both questions is no. Far be it from the mainstream press, those venerable institutions of truth, objectivity and unbiased reporters (sarcasm intended) to remind people what it is we are fighting for.

Far be it from teachers and professors to have to explain their jaundiced misrepresentations with unaltered films of the truth airing weekly in various media. Without truthful visuals, it is easier to tell the children of mothers, fathers, grandparents and relatives lost in those terrorist flames that it was America’s fault we were attacked.

Al-Jazeera, on the other, hand is recruiting scores of volunteers for terrorism (eager to visit the jiggling virgins promised them by Muhammad for murdering innocent people) by graphically reminding their minions that it happened.

Al-Jazeera had the then-Iraqi information director, Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf, reporting that the tanks weren’t in Baghdad as he watched them roll through the streets. Here, we have Alec Baldwin, Janeane Garofalo, Ted Kennedy and Tom Daschle attacking our president for having the tanks there – with Whoopi Goldberg, Michael Moore and Richard Clarke making up whatever the others forget to lie about.

Another marked difference is that Al-Jazeera doesn’t hide nor attempt to mask its sociopathy when it comes to contempt for Americans, unlike much of the press here. Of course, the New York Times, Tom Brokaw, Dan Rather and Peter Jennings would undoubtedly argue they are simply reporting the news in an unbiased manner, as would CNN, but I digress.

The difference between the readers and viewers of Al-Jazeera and the politically correct of our country is that while Arabs did celebratory dances in the streets of New Jersey, Washington and Arizona, happy that our loved ones had perished, our politically correct argued over making a statue of firemen the right ethnic combination.

While on the subject of differences, I think it prudent to point out the primary difference between Muqtada al-Sadr and presidential hopeful John Kerry: Sadr doesn’t lie about his war record and Sadr doesn’t pander to anyone. Beyond that, both share the common characteristic of being the worse thing for their country – though they do have their followings.

In two weeks, America will remember 9-11. The children and family members of those lost will remember as well – not to suggest they do not daily live with the emptiness of their loss.

America owes these survivors more than socialist actors who don’t know their own zip codes but who think they know more than the president. They wouldn’t know a PDB (president’s daily briefing) or know what to do with a security report if it was read to them with warm milk.

America needs principled men and women of integrity to lead her, not someone who says he would fight a “more sensitive and compassionate” war.

The survivors of those lost deserve a leader who will defend America, not one with Michael Moore and Barbra Streisand as advisers.

Most importantly, America needs to remember that 9-11 happened. America needs to remember the sound of bodies hitting the cars and pavements below from 80 stories above, because the same murderers that committed those atrocities most certainly do.
