The No. 1 topic listed on MSN’s search engine brings readers to a nearly 2-year-old commentary by WorldNetDaily’s Joseph Farah about convicted murderer Clara Harris, who was found guilty of running over her estranged husband with her automobile.
“Every day for several weeks I’ve been getting at least a dozen e-mails from people about this 17-month-old column I wrote,” said Farah. “I finally responded to one of these writers and asked how she found this old article. She explained it was at the top of the MSN search engine. And, bingo, there it was.”
Farah said he thought it was extraordinary that “Clara Harris” would be the most searched topic on an engine as large as MSN’s and that his controversial article, calling for Harris to be freed, would be the very first article displayed among the thousands or tens of thousands on the subject. The article was written before Harris’ conviction and sentencing.
Harris’ lawyers went before an appeals court this week arguing that her conviction should be overturned due to errors during the original trial.
Farah writes what is believed to be the only daily Internet column on general issues on any English-language newssite in the world. A weekly version of the column is syndicated to newspapers throughout the U.S. by Creators Syndicate.
Farah is the founder of WorldNetDaily.com and serves as chief executive officer and editor of the independent news source.
