The corrupt media, the fascist academia, and our enemies the terrorists are united against America. You may not believe it, but they are betrayed by their own words.

Late on Thursday, al-Qaida's No. 2 – Ayman al Zawahiri – released an audio tape. On it, he makes statements that only our enemies would say – right? WRONG!

"The [U.S.] concept of freedom is a cloak for spreading corruption and injustice," said al Zawahiri. "It is not the freedom of Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib. Our freedom ... and the reform that we are seeking depends on three concepts – the rule of sharia [Islamic law] ... freeing Islam from any aggressor ... and liberating the human being. In the Islamic world, the people had the right to choose its leader, hold him to account, criticize him and isolate him. I do not think that we can achieve reform while we are under American and Jewish occupation."
Right! This is coming from the No. 2 man in an organization that killed 3,000 people in America on 9-11. How would they let Islamic countries choose their own leaders, hold them accountable, etc. if they don't even let a country 3,000 miles across an ocean do it?

But the problem is, this type of fuzzy thinking (i.e., there's really no difference between us and the terrorists) is not strictly limited to our enemies.
Consider Eason Jordan, CNN's top news man. Last week my blog and this column both ran coverage that demonstrating a pattern of consistently going before foreign audiences to assert claims he had no proof of. His most recent being that American military men and women had killed 63 journalists, and that on 12 occasions they had targeted them for the killing.

Of course, such a story if true should launch mounds of congressional hearings. Good thing Sen. Chris Dodd and Congressman Barney Franks were in attendance with Jordan in Davos to offer them. Eason Jordan has yet to take them up on their offers.
Meanwhile, Bloggers are nailing Jordan and CNN throughout the blogosphere. A new blog devoted entirely to the matter has sprouted up and is exploding in traffic. An online petition is being prepared to present management at CNN. And soon, a tool will be in place at EasonGate.com where readers will be able to streamline the e-mail process and with the click of a button send fiery messages to the upper management of every advertiser doing business with the network.
But terrorists and media aren't the only loony birds viewing America through their uniquely strange viewpoints.
In 2001 Colorado University, "professor" and chairman of its ethnic studies department, Ward Churchill published a 10-page, single-spaced, incoherent rant against America. In it he states that the events of 9-11 were the "chickens coming home to roost." He stated that the 3,000 lives lost should be considered legitimate military targeting. He stated that the terrorists had given testament to great patience since their failed efforts in the 1993 bombing. He favorably compared those who were killed in the Twin Towers to Adolph Eichmann of World War II's Nazi Germany.
On Tuesday evening, after he agreed to no longer conduct any media interviews, he held a "pep rally for himself," in which he boldly stated that he is not accountable to the taxpayers of the state of Colorado. He said that even though Colorado University is a state school, funded in part by Colorado tax dollars as well as federal.
A perfect storm in favor of those who wish to slaughter Americans is forming, and it is being escalated by the terrorists, Eason Jordan and Ward Churchill. They may not claim to all be on the same team, but it sure looks to me like they use the same playbook.
