Dear reader:
Eight years ago, WND helped spark a media revolution.

I had no idea how successful it would be when my wife, Elizabeth, and I started this independent news service on the Internet.
Since then, it has become the No. 1 independent source of news on the Net.

As a result of WND's popularity, we were able to launch a monthly magazine, a book-publishing enterprise, which, in turn, set off a revolution of its own in the world of books, the first daily, nationally syndicated radio show based on an Internet news source, a premium, online intelligence newsletter and many other spinoffs.
With all that success, you might take WND's future for granted. You might think we have it made. You might think the heavy lifting in sustaining these operations is all over.

Don't.
Because of who we are and what we do, WND is constantly under siege, under attack.
What form do these attacks take?
- boycotts
- lawsuits
- threats
- hacking attempts
- misuse of copyright material
You name it. We've experienced it.

I want to appeal to you, our precious readers, to support us in one or more ways – right now, if possible:
- Pray for us. That may sound strange coming from a grizzled newsman. But that's one of the reasons WND is different – unique. I think I speak for the entire WND team when I say we believe in the power of prayer. We believe in answers to prayers because we've seen them many times over the last seven years. And we're not ashamed of that one bit. If you value what we do, please support our efforts in prayer.
- Buy our products. This is the single biggest way we pay for what we do. About 80 percent of our revenues are generated by the sale of our books, magazines and premium services. It's a constant battle to make ends meet. When sales are slow, some of us – me included – often go without pay for long periods of time just so we can continue to bring you the quality information you find uniquely in WND. Summer months are particularly painful.
- Make voluntary payments. Hundreds of you (we wish it were thousands) choose to support WND through this giving program. Some give $5. Some give $1,000 or more. Some give when they can. Some through a monthly credit-card debit program. We'd like to see this effort greatly expanded. Since we are a private, for-profit company, there is no tax-deduction for these payments. But what better cause is there than helping a media revolution transform the way people think about the news and the great issues of the day?
- Support our advertisers. Since many sponsors shy away from controversy, WND, despite its vast readership in the millions, is not the first choice of all the big, national-name companies. So those who do support WND with advertising deserve more than praise for their efforts – they deserve your business!
- Become an advertiser. WND readership includes many executives and business owners who control advertising spending. Do you want to reach an audience of affluent, well-educated, intelligent, independent-minded folks? What better resource for targeted marketing is there?
- Sign up for news alerts. Join our list of "insiders" who get notified of breaking news and all the latest developments at WND.
- Tell your friends. WND attracted its large audience largely through word of mouth – and that's the No. 1 way we continue to expand. Despite our numbers, most people have still never heard of WND. In other words, they are still in the dark. Help us shine the light of truth.
I want to thank you sincerely for your readership and loyalty, which has propelled WND to the very highest tier of news websites worldwide. And I'm not shy about asking you to take us to the next level.
There are many other reporters and editors who would like to throw their lot in with WND's style of journalism. There are enough of them out there who, I believe, could change our world for the better – if only we could afford to hire them and expand our work.

We're not there yet. But with your help, I know we'll get there.
Sincerely,

P.S.: If there is one WND product you should absolutely not be without, it is Whistleblower magazine. If you are already subscribing, consider renewing today or giving a gift subscription to a friend or relative. No other publication in the world tackles the big issues quite the way Whistleblower does. And your subscription not only gets you the magazine, it gets us the support we need to do everything else we do.
