"Be the first to own this Celebrity Jar, which was in proximity of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt!" reads the pitch at online auctioneer eBay. "You couldn't be in Los Angeles to attend the premiere, but you can own a jar that was there and near both stars."
The ad features a dozen photos of the unsealed, wide-mouth, quart-sized mason jar in proximity to the actors June 7 in Westwood Village, Calif.
The seller explains: "The item I'm selling is a jar, a jar that was open prior to the arrival of all of the celebrities at the 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' premiere, and was sealed after the arrival of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. The jar has remained sealed since that time and will remain so."

The starting price was $9.99, and bidding has pushed the price to at least $117.
Apparently, there had been some false bids placed, pushing the price to $26 million, but those have been nullified by the seller, who states: "The bid spamming was being done by several eBay users who apparently wanted to cause trouble or bask in the international media attention. I will block and cancel all bogus bids and bidders."

Along with the jar, the winning bidder will receive two T-shirts from the premiere.
"Mr. & Mrs. Smith," the story of a pair of married assassins, grossed over $51 million at the box office this weekend.

The jar image on the toast is a spoof of the saga of Jennifer Wilbanks, the so-called runaway bride who ditched her groom at the alter and disappeared for several days before turning up in New Mexico.

Another eBay seller got national publicity when he said a photo of the wide-eyed Wilbanks appeared on a slice of toast.
That now-famous ad read: "Jennifer Wilbanks found on my morning breakfast toast. I still think her fiance did it!!! This is the one and only Toast Depicting The Scam Artist of the year Jennifer Wilbanks. Look at the eyes, it's her. Dont be fooled by others."
