Americans are getting ruder all the time – and those are the ones agreeable enough to be surveyed by the Associated Press.
And, according to the AP-Ipsos poll, it doesn’t really matter whether you live in an urban setting or a rural area – nearly 70 percent said people are ruder today than they were 20 to 30 years ago.
Thirteen percent of the people polled admitted to making an obscene gesture while driving.
Eight percent said they had used their cell phones in a loud or annoying way around other people.
Some 37 percent of adults surveyed said they had used a vulgarity in public.
Another 38 percent said they had to ask someone to stop behaving rudely.
What bugs Americans most? What is the rudest kind of behavior they face?
According to the survey, 91 percent say aggressive and reckless driving is the most common discourtesy.
