A new red and green bracelet urging "just say Merry Christmas" is offering people the chance to rebel against politically correct policies that bar the phrase in polite company.
The wristbands are offered for $2 each.
Operation: Just Say Merry Christmas is pushing the bracelet phenomenon.
"The enemies of Christmas have succeeded in making Christians feel as if we are bad and intolerant to wish someone a 'Merry Christmas,'" states the group. "This is political correctness run amok. We have reached an all-time low point in our nation's history when human sensibilities are elevated above offending Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is long past the time for Christians to stand firm in our faith.
"Operation: Just say Merry Christmas is a campaign designed to encourage Christians nationwide and around the world to proudly proclaim the Christ Child as the center of the Christmas Season once again."
As WorldNetDaily reported, the Committee to Save Merry Christmas has launched a boycott against Sears, which has rejected several requests that "Merry Christmas" signs be returned and posted in stores and that its advertising acknowledge and respect the time-honored phrase.
Also, after a series of reports by WND, Wal-Mart officials satisfied demands by the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, which had called for a national boycott after accusing the chain of discriminating against Christmas while promoting other seasonal holidays by name, such as Kwanzaa and Hanukkah.
