Howdy, who specializes in music for children, will perform for the third time at the White House event. He joins other well-known children's performers, from TV personalities to magicians and jugglers.
"The Easter Egg Roll has gotten more media attention this year than the last 10 years combined," Howdy told WND. "There's great irony in that."
Continued the singer: "As an entertainer, I'm there for the kids. … Let's focus on the kids. Stop with trying to politicize a historical, traditional event. Let's focus on the kids and focus on Easter."

Howdy noted the Egg Roll is the oldest tradition at the White House.
"I just encourage any family that wants to come to come and enjoy the event for what it is. I don't care where the families come from or who they come with – this is an event for the kids," Howdy commented, adding, "There might be a better event to politicize than this one."

Howdy said it could become a logistical problem for those who want to politicize the event due to the tens of thousands of families that line up for tickets. According to the Associated Press, homosexuals will begin waiting at the White House tonight to receive tickets, which will begin to be distributed tomorrow morning.
The singer was upbeat about the Egg Roll: "It's going to be a great family event. Every kid that I come in contact with is going to have a ball as we focus on the real meaning of the day."
