Presidential press secretary Tony Snow today thanked WND for a question about the recent treatment of talk-show host Rush Limbaugh by federal officials, saying it was “an amusing question.”
On Monday, Limbaugh was held up for more than three hours at Palm Beach International Airport after authorities found a bottle of Viagra pills in his possession prescribed to someone else.
WND asked at today’s White House press briefing: “Does the president believe this federal treatment of Limbaugh was fair, and did he believe Rush was wrong to make references to both Bob Dole and Bill Clinton” in joking about the incident?
Responded Snow: “I think the president has had very little to say about it, but it was an amusing question and I thank you for it.”
