As the 50-year-old father of six, it disturbs me greatly to watch our political leaders commit Euricide.

Euricide is the self-destructive process of encouraging the importation of another people, another culture, another set of values that ultimately obliterate the original nation.

We have not (technically) thrown our borders away, but we do nothing to enforce them. Like Europe, we have begun a process of importing inassimilable numbers of people who do not think, act, believe, nor speak as we do. It is only a (short) matter of time before we are no longer different, unique, nor cohesive.

It is fallacious to argue that "we are a nation of immigrants." That is merely a ruse to divert attention from the fact that there is, in fact, an American (a UNITED STATES of AMERICAn) culture. A culture that used to fully understand the meaning behind three statements that you never hear anymore:
1) It's not American.

2) It wouldn't be Christian.
3) I'm going to tell on you.

It used to be American to believe that everyone can reach the highest pinnacle of success through hard work and determination. This, however, absolved no one of the requirement to work hard and to be the best at whatever he chose to do.
It used to be Christian to believe that every human is a child of God and is as worthy as you. This did not, however, absolve anyone from the requirement that they exhibit self-control; that they tolerate (within reason) those who were different; and that they recognize that we are all weak and sinful, but that we must all strive to perfect ourselves.

It used to be American to think in terms of an immediate arbiter of right and wrong. There was "someone to tell" when you did something "wrong." It used to be mom or dad.
There are two great rules that I use to evaluate the changes that I observe in our society:

1) Has it withstood the "test of time"?
2) Is it constitutional?
Today, we often hear of "progressives," those who want to change the status quo. Whenever you see the word "progressive" in a news item, it is always associated with someone or some group who is trying to destroy something that has, in fact, withstood the test of time. How arrogant we are to think that, at this late date in history, we have come up with some new idea that no one, in all of human history, hasn't already tried. You are a fool beyond comprehension to believe that some ancient ancestor hasn't already tried your "progressive" idea only to find that it doesn't work!
We have all heard the claim that the Constitution is a "living document." It is NOT! The Constitution is like the foundation of a building. Try changing the foundation after the building has been completed. Without extensive re-engineering, the building will collapse.
Many people think that we have evolved to a new level of comprehension; that people today are more "enlightened" than our predecessors. On an historic timetable, World Wars I and II just happened! You have to be a fool to fail to understand that every one of us was born a blank slate. Every one of us had to be taught the lessons that our ancestors learned long ago.
Euricide seems to be a word that encompasses all of the above. In only a few years, Europe will no longer exist as we know it. Cultures will vanish because their leaders and their people chose an easy and lazy road to ruin. Thousands of years of human progress will be obliterated because one or two generations of people chose not to take on the burden of refining their culture. One or two generations of people chose not to look to the past for guidance. One or two generations of people simply stopped trying.
Many will think this is a good thing. You may think this is a good thing. If so, I ask you, do you consider yourself tolerant? Are you "progressive" in thought? Then why do you insist on conformation? Why are opposing ideas unacceptable? Why are time-proven ideas (resulting in unique culture and value systems) something to be obliterated?
Euricide.
