Are Christians in the Middle East in grave danger?
WND columnist and talk-radio host Rusty Humphries will broadcast his national show tonight from the northern West Bank, where he will interview a terror leader who's group is blamed for a number of church burnings in the area the past few days.
The anti-Christian attacks followed remarks last week by Pope Benedict XVI which Muslims claim were offensive. In a speech in Germany one week ago the Pope quoted criticism of Muhammad by the 14th century Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Palaeologus, who said acts carried out by Islam's founder were "evil and inhuman."
Abu Muslim, senior leader of the Islamic Jihad terror group, joins Humphries and WND Jerusalem bureau chief Aaron Klein, who also will be featured tonight on Humphries' national show. The program is heard through the Talk Radio Network and is featured on more than 250 radio stations nationwide, including WDBO in Orlando, WCBM in Baltimore, KOKC in Oklahoma City, WNIS in Norfolk and KHBZ in Honolulu.
"The Rusty Humphries Show" also recently was picked up by a number of other major-city stations, including KNEW in San Francisco, KLIF in Dallas-Fort Worth, KCMO in Kansas City and KLO in Salt Lake City.
Also on Humphries show tonight is Lebanese leader Walid Jumblatt.
Humphries will be in Israel all week leading a tour of the country for a select group of radio listeners.
The talk-show host has broadcast from the Jewish state three times the past year. During previous trips, Humphries and Klein conducted in-person interviews with the gun-toting senior leadership of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group; argued with Hamas leaders; and attempted to broadcast from four countries – Israel, Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia – within three hours.
The show tonight will be hosted from the Israel National Radio studios in Beit El, adjacent to Ramallah in the West Bank.
