WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – A Christian-based college in this South Florida city is giving a whole new meaning to "toilet paper."

Palm Beach Atlantic University has decided the best place to spread campus news is by hanging its newsletters called "Stall Talk" above urinals and on stall doors in most campus restrooms.

"Everyone goes to the bathroom," senior Sheena Cunningham, who loves the idea, told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "It's right there. You have no other choice but to read it."
This month's issue includes headlines such as: "Getting Along with your Roommate," "Top 5 Places to Eat Off-campus" and "Top 10 Reasons to Consider Joining Campus Recreation Activities." There is also a prayer prominently featured.

"If you put this newsletter on a bulletin board, no one will stop and read it," said Kevin Abel, director of residence life. "But if you put it in a restroom, you've got a captive audience."
Palm Beach Atlantic doesn't hold a monopoly on restroom newsletters.

"The Stall Street Journal" is in facilities at Whitworth College in Spokane, Wash. There's "Flush Facts" at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tenn. The library at the University of Texas-Arlington just started "Installations" last month.
Barbara Torbeck, a residence life coordinator who works on the newsletter told the Sun-Sentinel she doesn't plan to sell ads in "Stall Talk."

"In bathrooms, you've tapped into a person's hallowed, private space," she said. "It's one thing to give helpful information. It's another thing to subject them to ads when all they want to do is use the restroom."
