A new contemporary-language version of James Ussher's Latin masterpiece "The Annals of the World" has been picked by WND readers as the top book during the latest reporting period at Shop.WND.com, the company's internal store featuring products published by, created by or handpicked by the company's marketing team.

Master Books commissioned the work to be updated from the original Latin manuscript from the 17th century so it would be available to the general public for the first time ever.
It's the result of five years work by Ussher, who set out to write a history of the world from Creation to 70 A.D., and produced this documentation in 1658. He traveled throughout Europe, gathering information from the actual historical documents, many of which no longer exist.

It answers why Julius Caesar was kidnapped in 75 B.C., why did Alexander the Great burn his ships in 326 B.C and what really happened when the sun "went backward" as a sign to Hezekiah.
Ussher used his Bible as a timeline, and working backwards from the death of Nebuchadnezzar arrived at the date of creation in 4004 B.C.

In second place was "Operation: Just Say… Merry Christmas bracelet," a bracelet that is part of a campaign to let Christians proudly proclaim The Christ Child as the center of the Christmas season.
"We are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, but political correctness has deemed it 'incorrect' to state so. The enemies of Christmas have succeeded in making Christians feel as if we are bad and intolerant to wish someone a Merry Christmas," according to a description of the product created by Dan and Jennifer Giroux.
This campaign allows people to wear a bracelet that emphasizes the central focus of the season is Jesus.
In third place was "The Marketing of Evil" by WND Managing Editor David Kupelian.
According to American Family Association founder Donald E. Wildmon, that book is an "excellent" way to understand the battles in America's culture.

"If you want to solidify your Christian worldview – or just understand what the culture war is all about – you owe it (to) yourself to read David Kupelian's 'The Marketing of Evil,'" Wildmon said.
WND Book Service readers chose "Conservative Comebacks to Liberal Lies," by Gregg Jackson more than any other book during the reporting period.
His project covers issues ranging from abortion to the war on terror and destroys some of the biggest myths around.
For example, it debunks the liberal claim that it is uncertain when life begins, or that the Whitewater investigation never proved anything about the Clintons, or that prayer in schools in unconstitutional. He also addresses the mistaken belief that legalized abortion reduces child abuse and the 2nd Amendment does not guarantee an individual's right to own a gun.

It also talks about the fact that sex education in public schools fails to reduce unplanned pregnancies or sexually-transmitted diseases, that gun control laws fail to eliminate guns and prevent crime and the belief "there is no liberal bias on college and university campuses."
In second place was "America Alone: The End of the World As We Know It" by Mark Steyn and in third was "The Politically Incorrect Guide to English and American Literature," by Elizabeth Kantor.
