A “pupling” from the game “Intelligent Design Versus Evolution,” which challenges evolutionary theory

Two Christian leaders who in the past have sparked discussion about evolution by arranging an airline flight for a “relative” – an orangutan – now have produced a board game on that very subject.

Best-selling author Ray Comfort and veteran actor Kirk Cameron have designed the game “Intelligent Design versus Evolution,” which now is available through WayOfTheMaster.com.

“We are very excited about this game because it presents both sides of the creation evolution argument, and in doing so, shows that the contemporary theory of evolution is perhaps the greatest hoax of modern times,” said Cameron, who starred in the award-winning “Growing Pains” television series from 1985-1992.

He’s also starred in the “Left Behind” series of movies and “The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes” and appeared in “Touched By An Angel.” He now produces and co-hosts “The Way Of The Master” television series.

“‘Intelligent Design Versus Evolution’ is unique in that the playing pieces are small rubber brains. We used the brains because we want players to use their brains. The incentive is to play for ‘brain’ cards, and the team or individual with the most brains wins. There are brains all over the game, because we want to make people think deeply about what they believe,” said Comfort, author of books including “How to Bring Your Children to Christ,” “Intelligent Design vs. Evolution – Letters to an atheist,” and “Nostradamus: Attack on America.”

A “sheepdog” from the game that asks people to think about evolution

“This is because the average person doesn’t know that the evolutionist lives by a blind faith in an unscientific theory (a theory that one scientist called a ‘fairy-tale for grown-ups’). Through the game we show the irrational nature of evolution, using their own beliefs and quotes. This explains why evolutionists have a special language, something we call ‘the language of speculation,’ where they use words like ‘We believe, perhaps, probably, maybe, could have …’ They can’t speak of their theory without it,” said Comfort.

“To believe in evolutionary ‘transitional forms’ is to hold to the belief that one species evolved into another. However, there is no scientific evidence of any species evolving into another – not in creation, nor in the ‘fossil record.’ Most people don’t know that.”

If, in fact, evolution were the truth, there would have to be evidences of some sort of those transitions, such as a sheepdog, pupling, or bullfrog, the game’s promoters said.

The game is commended by well-known creationist Ken Ham, of “Answers in Genesis,” who says it reveals the clearly bankrupt theory of “molecule-to-man evolution.”

The game also comes with a free award-winning DVD called “The Science of Evolution,” in which Comfort and Cameron take an orangutan to lunch and discuss the theory of evolution.

A “bullfrog,” which questions the idea of “transitional” animals required in evolution

“This game didn’t happen by accident. It was intelligently designed with a specific purpose in mind, and we hope it creates a big bang in the Christian and secular world,” said Comfort in a report by Dan Wooding of ASSIST News Service, which is sponsored in part by Gospel for Asia.

The logic of and support for evolution also was questioned in a stunt the two did for their television show, when they let “evolutionists hang themselves with their own words.”

“We called eight airlines (on camera) and asked if they would let us bring a ‘relative’ on the plane. We said that he needed a wheelchair because he had problems with his feet, and after getting approval we told them the ‘relative’ was an orangutan,” Comfort said.

“The Way of the Master” recently launched another season on TBN, and it airs on nine major Christian networks and can be seen in more than 70 countries. The reality television program includes one episode called “When Things Go Wrong.”

“It includes footage of us getting punched, chased, cussed at, and spat on while witnessing, as well as almost getting killed while preaching the gospel in Jerusalem. It reminds Christians that we are in a very real fight for the souls of men and women,” Cameron said.

WND also has reported on a controversy with the U.S. Secret Service over a gospel tract produced by evangelist Comfort at his Living Waters Ministry in Southern California.

He’s been inundated with requests for them since the story broke. The controversy began when the agents visited the Great News Network in Denton, Texas, and threatened to arrest staffer Tim Crawford for hiding evidence in a counterfeiting investigation. The agents took 8,300 tracts of a “million-dollar” and left their business cards and a receipt.

The Christian group has argued that “million-dollar” bills can’t be counterfeited because they don’t exist, and the tracts – which include a “not legal tender” disclaimer on the front – present the Christian salvation message on the opposite side.

Comfort said the controversy, now pending in a federal appeals court, has generated so much interest in the tracts that he’s been besieged with requests for tens of thousands of them.

The tract includes this message: “The million dollar question: Will you go to Heaven? Here’s a quick test. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery already with her in his heart.” Have you looked with lust? Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? If you have done those things God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty you will end up in Hell. That’s not God’s will. He sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. Jesus took your punishment upon Himself – ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.’ Then He rose from the dead and defeated death. Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus, and God will grant you everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey it.”
