A solution to illegal immigration

In a moment of frustration, (I've had several moments like that recently) I began to think of a possible solution to the illegal immigration fiasco. (Other than the moat full of Florida alligators! – great idea, by the way!)

I began to think about all the high-school dropouts and "functional illiterates" (can't maintain a check book and WON'T fill out a job application) our school systems are creating every year and thought about conscripting them to fill the "Jobs Lazy Americans Won't Do!" That's "JLAWD." Agreed, it doesn't "say" anything, but it spells a lot like our dropouts do!

I have no research facts available to me on this issue; I was just thinking this could be a solution to several needs we have in this country. I also have no stats about the number of dropouts we produce each year, but I feel safe in assuming there are enough of them (from this year's class as well as past classes) lying around in bed till noon every day to replace the 20 million illegals and have some left over.

If a student drops out, he automatically enters the "Jobs Lazy American's Won't Do" program.

These dropouts are then selected to fill the low-skill jobs that illegal aliens are doing now – landscaping, washing dishes, preparing food, cleaning houses, motel maids, washing cars, framing houses, harvesting crops and a myriad of other low-skill jobs.

I don't mean to impugn the ability and skill level of the owners and managers of the above businesses; it's just the labor they require to get the work done is "low skilled." Therefore, they hire illegals to do the "Jobs Lazy Americans Won't Do!"

This appears to have several positive ramifications for our society.

The dropouts will be working and therefore making a bit of money (going rate paid to illegals) and NOT having to rob and pillage to support their normal drug habit. (This includes cigarettes at 30-plus bucks a carton.)

Low-skill jobs will be filled, so there will be no room for illegals to take the "Jobs Lazy Americans Won't Do!"

No need to have a "day labor" waiting line on a street corner in cities. The businesses are always complaining about them, anyway! Our dropouts will get their job assignments from the project coordinator.

With the cost savings to our Medical facilities alone, we can well afford to provide transportation to the job sites in buses that the Mayor of New Orleans doesn't want or need.

The dropouts will not be in the unemployment line waiting for the government handout every week – another giant savings for our treasury.

Dropouts' parents will be helped in that they won't have to totally support their lazy offspring. They can demand a bit of the money earned as minimal compensation for room and board, a concept dropouts' intellect simply don't understand (pay your own way).

As taxpayers, we have been "donating" a free education to these "ne'er-do-wells" at a staggering cost for many years, and as the kids drop out, we never get to realize any potential from them their whole life. They become a drag on our social structure and (in prison or out) we continue to support them forever. (That's called "double dipping" in my book!)

As low as the pay may be for these "Jobs Lazy Americans Won't Do," the dropouts will at least be in our system and possibly even pay taxes now and then. That is a decided improvement over the system the illegals use now.

Another plus is the money the dropouts earn will most likely stay in this country (except the dollars they spend on drugs) instead of going to support the likes of the very corrupt Mexican government.

After the normal "Jobs Lazy American's Won't Do" are filled, the project coordinator then turns to sending crews of dropouts to clean our forest trails, pick up litter along our highways and in general contribute to the betterment of this country, instead of always being a liability!

A note to dropouts:

No more lying around waiting for a handout, no more leeching off society, no more free "goodies" that the taxpayers provide. Off your butts and out to work! Or, there's always one more option: STAY IN SCHOOL and become a productive citizen of this country.
