The first review of Joseph Farah's new book "Stop the Presses!" is in on the book megasite Amazon.com – and it's a rave.
TRENDING: Caught red-handed
Yesterday, as the book officially was released to bookstores around the country – complete with front-of-store promotional placement in some major chains – one happy reader gave "Stop the Presses!" five stars.
"Joseph Farah's latest book is the first history of the New Media Revolution to be written by an insider, one truly present at the creation," wrote the reviewer. "With 30 years of traditional newspapering under his belt, Farah launched WorldNetDaily into cyberspace 10 years ago from his bedroom computer and the rest, as you will discover in the pages of 'Stop the Presses!,' MADE history."

It continues: "Farah takes us along on his journey as he and a few other intrepid souls set out into uncharted territory to slay giants. And slay them they did ... eventually."
"Stop the Presses!" continues the giant-slaying process – taking on Google, radical activists inside newsrooms, international press coverage of the Middle East and the prospect of a Hillary Clinton presidency.
"Although WND is now the largest independent newssite in the world, its success has been hard fought, and all the battles are recounted here," the Amazon review continues. "Farah reveals how he ended up on Clinton's enemies list, was targeted by the IRS, may have tipped the scales against Al Gore in 2000 and much, much more. … WND was on the front lines, leading the charge, taking no prisoners. Those too young to remember what the world was like before WND, Matt Drudge and others dared to take on the media monolith should read 'Stop the Presses!' to gain an appreciation of what an awesome accomplishment these pioneers achieved. Those of us who do remember will read it with gratitude."
"Stop the Presses!" explores the following issues and more:

- Farah's first-hand account of his efforts at launching WorldNetDaily.com, the largest independent news source on the Internet;
- His battle for survival during the Clinton administration, which audited his news agency and used taxpayer funds to maintain dossiers on him.
- A brief history of the free press that explains what a uniquely American concept it is;
- A look at the role of Google, a search engine company Farah deems to be "evil";
- The impact of Matt Drudge and the way he and those who have followed him have changed the media forever;
- The key role WND played in defeating Al Gore's presidential ambitions in 2000;
- The Middle East as a case study in international media distortion.
The book debuted yesterday as the selection of two major monthly book clubs and with the endorsement of Farah's friends, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter.
Limbaugh said: "Joseph Farah was not just 'present at the creation' of the new media revolution, he helped instigate it. 'Stop the Presses!' is a fascinating and freewheeling look at how a harmonic convergence of politics, personalities and technology has forever changed the way Americans interact with their government, their fellow citizens and the world."
Coulter weighed in: "WorldNetDaily's Joseph Farah is uniquely qualified to tell the real story of the 'new media revolution.' After all, he helped start it. This Patrick Henry of the Internet will have you hoisting a Sam Adams in celebration."
